Professional Development Zine Workshop
Zines: A free creative professional development workshop for teachers
This workshop will introduce you to Zines and how to turn your classroom into a publishing house. Zines are a small-circulation of original self-published work usually reproduced via photocopier. Usually zines are the product of a single person, or of a very small group.
Discover all about Zines - what they are, how they are made, and why they are perfect for your learning area. Resources will be provided including a unit of work suitable for stages 4-6 in Design and Visual Arts, English, Humanities and more…
The workshop will take place at Bradfield Senior College, 213 Pacific Hwy, St Leonards NSW 2065 on November 22 from 10am - 2pm.
Future Opportunities for Zines and your school:
This workshop could be your first step in becoming a part of an exciting educational opportunity. For the past two years, Bradfield Senior College has staged events as part of Vivid Ideas. Now, we’re seeking expressions of interest from schools to be involved in two events for 2018.
New Creatives 10.00am-2.00pm Saturday June 2
- This event will explore new creative approaches for senior secondary education as well as creative masterclasses and markets. There will be a Zine fair at this event and this is one way your school can be involved.
Creative Careers 9.00am-3.00pm Friday June 8
- This will be a professional development opportunity for educators to discover more about careers in creative industries.
Register your interest now for the free professional development and we’ll provide further details about the 2018 creative events for your school.
