Music producers create and design the desired sound of recording artists. If you appreciate many different genres of music, enjoy working with technology and have strong management skills this could be the path for you.
You'll work on music composition and sound recording throughout the year.
You'll also have the chance to be on the crew for musical performances, radio production and large college events such as TedXNorthernSydneyInstitute and our annual musical at the Seymour Centre where you'll work alongside industry professionals.
Choosing the right subjects in year 11 is important. These preliminary subjects will give you a strong foundation in theory and practice and set you up for your final year and your major works.
You'll learn about music technology, ensemble, composition and music production which will provide a good foundation for your career pathway. Entertainment Industry is also good to provide skills in sound production as well as general industry information.

Your portfolio starts here with major works and projects. It's always important to check prerequisites for courses at TAFE, universities and colleges. Many require portfolio entry as well as an ATAR.
