We will show you how to follow a brief, master the power of creative thinking, develop concepts, discover colour theory and produce drawings (by hand and computer) to express your ideas.
When you study in the Design & Visual Arts faculty you will get to explore your artistic practices in an adult learning environment. You are free to create and grow as an artist using opportunities to practice across a range of media.
Our students are regularly featured in ArtExpress and selected for National Art School scholarships. We have alumni who are graphic designers, visual artists, production managers and photographers.
You will be invited to exhibit your work throughout the school, at the Annual Design & Visual Art exhibition and at external exhibitions throughout the year.
Our state-of-the-art facilities include our custom built design, visual art, photomedia and technology studios. Students can explore their creativity using the latest technology such as a digital fabric printer, a plastic vacuum former and 3D scanner and printer, photographic equipment and the latest computer software.
Our Design & Visual Arts teachers are practising artists and designers who live and breathe creativity.
They will help you develop your artistic sensibilities and distil your creativity into something meaningful and expressive.
We’ll help you to explore the process of art and design from concept to creation using the inspiring learning spaces and latest technologies. The skills you learn in Arts and Design give you the tools for problem solving, creative thinking and critical analysis.
