Students learn about the development and use of scientific models and the similarities and differences between scientific theories and laws. In year 12 students conduct their own scientific investigations and communicate their findings in scientific reports. They are provided with the opportunity to examine the interdependent relationship between science and technology .
This course provides students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of the ethical, social, economic and political influences on science and scientific research in the modern world.

The STEM faculty has a specialised learning space for STEAM subjects which includes the latest technologies including 360 augmented reality headsets, Cintiq graphics tablets, collaborative computer workspaces and design planning facilities.
