Flickerfest 2025 - Four Bradfield films selected

We’re delighted to reveal that four films by students Bradfield Senior College will be featured at this year’s Flickerfest 34th International Short Film Festival as part of the FlickerUp Youth Shorts Program.

The selected films include:


FADE

From this year’s SPARK 2024 project created by our Year 11 2024 cohort - congratulations to the many students involved in this film, including Leila, Harry, Nina, Celeste, Elle, Max, Tom, Alex, Jess, Charlie, Jai, Lily, Josh, Lucas, Joey, Marx, Ariella, Lilly, Liam, Beth and Erin.

MAMA GRUB

Edie Farrar-Matson’s Multimedia Major Work- a startling 2D animation set in the Australian bush - SHAPE nominated


ANAHERA

Kyro Russell’s Visual Arts HSC major work - An exploration of identity & childhood growing up as a mixed person away from one’s home country; a tale of Māori acceptance & heartbreak.


 

BUBBLE BOY

Summer Douar’s Y11 Multimedia film - A young boy unexpectedly finds himself trapped inside a giant bubble gum bubble.



The films will screen as part of a session devoted to school students and filmmakers 18 and under on Saturday January 25th, 4pm. Tickets available on Flickerfest website.

Flickerfest is considered in international circles as the leading Australian competitive short film festival and increasingly filmmakers view it as one of the main festivals on the world circuit.
