Dance is an art form that communicates stories and emotions through movement of the human body.
Our philosophy is that dancers need to develop their artistry through performance, so we ensure that you will have numerous performance opportunities.
Our dance teacher and Performing Arts Learning Coordinator, Janet Ashiabor is renowned for her expertise and results. Students come from all over Sydney to dance under Janet's guidance and dancers are consistently awarded with HSC Callback and Exemplary nominations.
In August of each year our HSC and Preliminary dance students perform their major works before their trial exams and they perform at college events and regularly appear at the North Sydney Dance Festival.
In 2015 our students also appeared in the NSW State Dance Festival.
The Performing Arts Faculty takes advantage of the purpose built performing arts space throughout the college.
These facilities include a dance studio with sprung floor, music and radio recording studios, rehearsal rooms and a performance space with industry standard lighting and audio technology, and film and sound editing facilities.
